This kit is designed for the qualitative detection of the monkeypox virus in vitro, using samples such as rash fluid, pustular fluid, blister fluid, serum, nasopharyngeal swabs, and oropharyngeal swabs. It serves as an auxiliary tool for diagnosing monkeypox virus infections in suspected cluster cases.
Principle
This kit utilizes a multiplex Taqman probe-based polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to enable the simultaneous qualitative detection of specific conserved regions of the monkeypox virus, as well as the human RNaseP gene (serving as an internal control), in a single reaction. The detection results are automatically interpreted by all-in-one molecular diagnostic system – Sanity 2.0 System, based on the Ct values.
The reagent in this kit is presented as a pre-loaded, lyophilized (freeze-dried) formulation. This design innovation ensures reagent stability, minimizes contamination risks, and streamlines the preparation process, significantly improving the efficiency of the PCR testing protocol.
