MTB Test Kit is an in vitro diagnostic reagent designed for the qualitative detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTBC) directly from sputum or bronchial washing fluid samples.

It is recommended to use Lab-Aid 824 MTB DNA Extraction Kit for nucleic acid extraction, prior to PCR detection.

Principle

MTB Test Kit utilizes a Taqman probe-based real-time polymerase chain reaction (rt-PCR) to qualitatively detect the IS6110 gene, which is specific to Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTBC), as well as a non-human internal control, the Arabidopsis thaliana SUC2 gene, in a single reaction. For the convenience of storage and transportation, the amplification reagent is formulated as a pre-distributed, lyophilized dry reagent.

Compatible Instrument

The kit is designed to be operated using a real-time PCR thermal cycler equipped with FAM and HEX detection channels, compatible with models such as the SLAN-96 S/P, SLAN-48P, ABI 7500, and Fascan 48S.
